On 17 September 2026, I launched a crowdfunding campaign for my dear friend Sakshi from Khajuraho (India) where I lived between 2008 and 2019.
I met Sakshi in 2012 when she was only 10, and I have always admired her resilience and hardwork.
When she told me that she was accepted onto a Masters degree at Schmalkalden University in Germany, I decided I would do everything I could to help her cover the living expenses so she could apply for her visa and get there.
Because for a modest young woman from rural India, it is a remarkable achievement, but the living costs in Europe for her are enormous.
If this speaks to you, please read on or directly click on the link below to donate – even a small amount of money will make a difference. And if you can’t donate, do share with as many people as you can. Any help is appreciated!
